The Next Level

I'll be honest, my fitness journey took a little bit of a detour at the beginning of the summer, but... I'm back!

In the last couple of days I have tried to be very conscious of my caloric intake, skipping unnecessary additions like salad dressing, working out with my handsome to make it more fun, and... wait for... going to the gym!
Shocking, I know.

Today- I mixed things up.
B. headed back to Pullman and won't be here for a couple of weeks, in the meantime my goal is to lose 10 pounds.
Yeah, it is gonna be rough.
So I downloaded the totally free NTC (Nike Training Club) app for my ipod.
The app provides a plethora of workouts based on what your goal is, and your fitness level.
The coolest part is that it motivates you via rewards like "badges" and more workouts for the time you spend working out.
Pretty cool huh?
Today was my first attempt, and it was not so pretty. I had asked B. to help me with timing and technique the other day but we didn't get around to it, and now I am glad we didn't because I would have been SO EMBARRASSED. My baby sister and I did the workout together, and we concur that if you want to be completely worn out and feel like you will not be able to move for a month, try the Quickstart Full Action workout first.
